We host three weekly runs: Wednesdays @ 6:30PM, Fridays @ 6:30PM, and Sundays @ 8:30AM. Runs take place year-round, rain or shine, with a hiatus during the month of December.
Our weeknight meetups are run “workouts” (e.g. hill repeat, tempo, progression, etc.) with a warm-up/cool-down at a social pace. Our Sunday easy runs typically offer a mid-range and longer distance option, with most runners targeting half-marathon or marathon goal races.
We meet just inside the North High Park gates (Bloor & High Park Ave), right by the Spring Road train stop. We lovingly refer to this area as “The Nub”.
No pre-registration is required for our runs. We welcome all drop-ins!
We don’t – we ask that everyone comes ready to run!
We’re a free run club. All we ask is that you join us in giving back through volunteerism and fundraising throughout the year.
While we would love to be able to accomodate runners of all skill levels, we encourage you to be able to run a continuous 6km run before joining us for group runs.
We welcome all paces! Our Sunday easy run pace groups range from <5:00/km – ~6:30/km, and we have volunteer pace group leaders to help ensure everyone has company on their run.
Absolutely! The more the merrier. We love the run community and welcome all runners, regardless of whether you run with other groups or clubs.
We sure do! We ask you to gauge your own comfort/safety running in different weather conditions, and to make the call that’s right for you. Generally, we like to practice running in all conditions — you never know what race day will bring!
In very rare instances, we may cancel a run. If the local conditions are too dangerous to run outside safely, we will post a cancellation announcement across our social media channels (Instagram, and in our Strava group).
If you feel conditions are unsafe, we always encourage you to err on the side of caution.
While our runs are “drop in” format & build up to major races, we also offer athlete-specific coaching. Call for plans typically take place in May and December.
If you are joining us mid-season, we ask that you run with us through to the end of the season before requesting a custom plan. We do this to give you a chance to meet our coaches, get familiar with our training philosophy, and to ensure we’re a good match for your goals.
Additionally, in lieu of coaching fees, our runners are expected to participate in our community giveback initiatives throughout the year.
While we share major updates across all our communication channels (Instagram, Strava, Facebook, and newsletter), day-to-day announcements are typically shared in our Facebook group. This is also a great spot to connect with other runners in the neighbourhood if you’re looking for company for a run outside of our regular schedule!
Route info for our Sunday “easy” runs is posted weekly in our Strava club and Facebook group. Details for our Wednesday/Friday run workouts are shared at the run (if you are on one of our custom training plans, your plan will include all of your workout info).
