Calling all runners: our annual clean-up event is Calling all runners: our annual clean-up event is back! This #EarthWeek, join us in doing our part cleaning up local green spaces. Though we can't host our usual High Park-based event, we'll be going virtual this year.

The concept is simple:
1) Pick a local park, green space, or a spot along your favourite running route while you're out
2) Gather litter you find in your chosen spot
3) Dispose of it responsibly!
4) Grab some photos along the way, and post them to your social pages!

If there are three things the Rogue Runners love, it's exercise, community, and beer. And @rallybeerco is helping us celebrate all of those things by offering up some clean-up incentives! At the end of the week, we'll do a random draw for a Rally Beer prize -- every clean-up photo tagging us from April 19-25 is an entry!

Given the evolving COVID guidelines, we encourage you to stay safe, follow local guidance, and wear appropriate PPE while you're participating in the challenge.

Have you ever wondered what 300+ pairs of shoes lo Have you ever wondered what 300+ pairs of shoes looks like?

Rogues Eve and Alyna tallied up your amazing contributions from our recent shoe drive and the community really came through!

Thanks to your support, we’ll be donating shoes to the @piratesroadrun Development Camp in South Africa, to @torontogeneralhospital’s ED department to support the vulnerable displaced community, and to Soles for Souls.

Stay tuned for details on our next community initiative, coming up later this month.
If you have been eyeing some new kicks and want to If you have been eyeing some new kicks and want to donate your old ones, the Rogue Runners are hosting a shoe drive this weekend! DM us or visit our Facebook group (link in bio) for info on no-contact drop off points around High Park and Baby Point.

We will be accepting all gently used athletic shoes and promise that they will go to a good home. Donations will be going towards two incredible organizations: Soles for Souls, which brings running gear to communities in need, and Pirates Road Running.

Pirates Road Running is a South African run club that has a development program supporting elite marathon and ultra-marathon runners who would otherwise not be able to afford race fees, travel to races, and gear needed for their intense training and racing.

In an effort to support these incredible runners in reaching their potential, a portion of donations to this month's drive will be taken through to South Africa by Rogue Runner Alyna when we're able to travel again (hopefully before the end of summer).

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! #runto

Sending out a HUGE thank you to everyone who contr Sending out a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to this weekend’s community initiative. With your help, we filled a sleigh-worth of toys and contributed $550 towards @parkdalefoodbank’s toy drive, which will go towards making the holidays shine brighter for local families in need.
Next week, please join the High Park Rogue Runners Next week, please join the High Park Rogue Runners in our first annual Toy Drive to benefit families with children aged 4-12. Our goal is to pile the @parkdalefoodbank with so many toys that they get approached by Santa himself for tips and tricks!

The concept is simple: bring an unwrapped but packaged gift to High Park on Saturday, December 12. One of our volunteers will load the gifts up and bring them to the Parkdale Community Food Bank where they will be made available to families with children aged 4-12. Families will get to choose their own gifts and wrap them themselves so the children are none the wiser!

Click the link in our profile to RSVP to the Facebook event and get full details. COVID precautions will be taken during donation handoff.

If you'd prefer to make a financial contribution, our Canada Helps page is also linked and is still accepting donations.

Group runs may be on hold, but support for the local community is needed more than ever. This Saturday, please consider taking part in our food drive in support of @parkdalefoodbank.

A member of our organizing team will be stationed at our usual meeting point just inside High Park Saturday morning from 10-10:45AM accepting donation drop-offs for the food bank (swipe for a map of the drop-off location - it’s TTC accessible and a lovely spot to drop by on a morning run).

Bring as little or as much as you can contribute, and we will take care of getting it to the Parkdale Community Food Bank!

Items in greatest demand include:
-Snacks
-Treats
-Cold cereal
-Pasta
-Pasta sauce
-Canned fruits and veggies
-Baking supplies
-Nut/peanut butters
-Fresh fruits and veggies
-Halal meat

Please wear a mask when you drop off your items so we can all remain safe! While we’d love to catch up, we also want to be conscious of not creating a mass meet-up, so please plan to drop off your items and enjoy the rest of your morning. We are extremely grateful for your contributions. 💙

If you prefer to make a monetary donation, we are collecting donations via the Rogue Runners @canadahelps page. Visit the link in our bio for more info.
You put in the work. Now it's time to recover. We You put in the work. Now it's time to recover.

We're taking a two-week hiatus starting this week, so we won't be hosting long runs for the next two Sundays. We encourage you to take some downtime from running (we'll be doing the same!) so you can come back feeling fresh.

Beyond that, stay posted here for updates on the re-start, when it’s safe to do so. #runto
If you've run with the Rogue Runners before, chanc If you've run with the Rogue Runners before, chances are you've run with (and been in a socially-distanced-selfie with) Mike.

Mike was supposed to run Tokyo this year. Then it got cancelled.
He was supposed to run Berlin this year. Then it got cancelled.

So he took it upon himself to run a birthday marathon on his own, because birthdays are pretty much the only thing this year that can't be cancelled.

Congrats on your big race, Mike! From the pacer Rogues to the socially distanced finish line cheer squad to the celebration with your family, it was a wonderful day!

Runners were split into teams of 4 and competed to see how far they could run over a 2 hour period (teams distributed a 20 minute, 25 minute, 30 minute and 45 minute segment across their runners). The results are in and they are...impressive.
- Runners covered a total of 309.25km across 11 teams, at an average pace of 4:16/km
- 5 runners ran PBs (and often had to keep running to finish off their timed segment)
- 2 people who raced separately ran the exact same distance - down to the metre - over 20 minutes
- 8 teams ran more than 28km in 2 hours
- Runners participated from all over the country, with two runners completing their legs 4,611km away from our meeting point in High Park

All in all, an amazing day! Congrats to everyone who joined in. Enjoy your rest!
